29 Jan 2015 I literally just gained the ability to boss, well higher level boss, meaning Nex. I went ahead and dumped my cash stack and loot tab into Pernix, and was going to use warpriest as my mage switch. I personally use Pernix to do QBD in since it offers more defense than Armadyl and better damage bonus.
Pernix costs 70m and I was asking myself if it is really worth it. I have Armadyl armour and full Superior Elite Void. I was thinking of Superior elite void is good for DPS'ing at Nex, but I can't see it being useful at Araxxor unless it's accompanied by T90 weapons, and you're very familiar with the boss.

For slayer, I'd go with armadyl. The damage boost and defense is lower, but since you're only slaying, it isn't terribly important. The benefit is that armadyl armor does not degrade.
