Alongside Darius Britt Simon Cade is one of the most inspiring young film-teaching filmmaker on YT. It's really helpful to learn from other young filmmakers. I'm especially really impressed by his creativity in his videos.
Well...Unfortunately I'm not really satisfied with this short. Visually it looks really good. But the story doesn't fit for a short film. Although the story is well implemented, still it's not possible to feel for the characters, since the whole idea is material for a longer short film.
Really painful to see how only the thoughts for a film were not good enough to satisfy me, although everything else seemed good to me.
"Two Wrongs" is a live action short film from the UK from about a year ago, January 2016, that is really short at 4 minutes. Director is Simon Cade and writer is Johann Farnhan and their inexperience clearly shows in this movie, especially the latter's. It is pretty spectacular and there is something that happens basically every second, so I guess they wanted to get in as much action and memorable stuff as possible, but this is not the accurate reaction, not even for such a short film. You need to make it memorable through convincing character development and authentic dialogues and this one here has neither. instead it has shock value and cheap thrills from start to finish with a spectacular, equally unrealistic ending. 4 stars out of 10 is still very generous for this one. I don't recommend checking it out at all.
