Feb 19, 2018 I am at the part where Newboy helps me escape by distracting the guards. It says in the guide in his gratitiude he gives the talisman for me as a keepsake, but I have done it 3 times now and the only way he "gives it to me" is if I kill the guards including him. I read up in the guide that this quest continues later

It won't end too good for him and he will die. You will come across his body (M3, 9) by the end of The Dungeons of the La Valettes mission, on your way onto the ship (M3, 10). It's worth to search his body to find Newboy's Amulet. You will be able to discover its properties in Act 1, during the Melitele's Heart side quest.
