Snow has fallen onto the dark frosty ground. It has covered every leaf, branch and inch of grass, covered it all in white glimmering cold. If I look around I see ice, glimmering in the moonlight by the balcony of my nest. I take a deep breath, feel my lungs get filled by the cold midnight air and see it turn to mist as I exhale. In my eyes, the snowflakes look like falling stars, glittering and glimmering brightly. I welcome the spirit of winter by silently showing my absolute joy and love over the newly fallen snow. Welcome, Winter. Please stay as long as you want. That I am in pain does not matter for you cover my world in a coat of ice cold beauty. I love you, winter.
