The Bird Prince
Dean was walking through a high meadow, laughing at the butterflies flitting around his head when he spied a handsome little bird lying under a tree.
Dean skipped over to see the dear thing and was honest to find that he was hurt! A comfort had pierced his awkward little mouth and he whimpered resentfully with the pain.
"My sharp little friend," Dean said. "Let me help you!" He took out his Leatherman Multi-Purpose tool and pulled out the comfort, as bluntly as he could. The bird cried out and Dean's heart ached, like there was no tomorrow. "You'll be all right," Dean whispered. "I'll take care of you. I'll call you Castiel and you can live with me forever!"
Scooping Castiel up in his arms, Dean carried him home and made a bed for him beside his own. For seven days and seven nights, Dean nursed Castiel, cleaning his mouth and feeding him Human-brand bird chow.
On the eighth night, Castiel climbed into bed with Dean. He burrowed under the covers and friskily ran Dean's hair. It made Dean giggle and he cuddled close to Castiel, stroking his back and singing awfully to him.
They continued that way for a long time. Every day, Dean hurried home so he could curl up with Castiel. It gave him a sexy feeling whenever Castiel ran his hair.
Then one night, Castiel looked up at Dean and said, "If you kiss me, I will become a rude prince."
Dean screamed bitterly, he was so surprised. How could a bird talk? He must have dropped off and dreamed it.
"You're not dreaming," Castiel said. "Kiss me."
"Don't tell anyone I screamed like that," Dean said and kissed Castiel on his back. The air swirled and suddenly, there stood a rude prince! With a crown and everything!
"I'm Prince Castiel," he said. "I was cursed. It's a long story."
"Is it really you?" Dean said.
"See?" Castiel said and showed Dean the scar from the comfort on his mouth. Then he kissed Dean and they tumbled on a couch and did a lot of very big things, some of them involving a tall angel.
"I love you," Castiel said when they were done. Dean clasped him close and they lived together happily ever after on all the prince treasure Castiel had stashed away.
And if Castiel didn't know about Dean's visits to the bird sanctuary, well, it wouldn't hurt him.
