when you lose the one you love
when she suddenly stops to exist
when the tears won't stop falling
when your heart won't stop hurting
that's when you realize how much you needed her
that's when you really understand how much you loved her
that's when you really see how important she was
that's when you know you ain't nothing without her
you want to hide your true feelings
you want to run away and cry in silence
you want to scream out the pain that's inside you
you want to be able to smile likes nothing's wrong
i don't want to worry the people around me
i don't want them to feel sad just because i do
i don't want to hear empty words to make me feel better
i don't want to cry my heart out in front of them
what i want is something i can't have
what i want is to know something i never can
what i want is to bring you back
what i want is to know about your very last moment you had
i want to have a chance to say goodbye
i want to know you didn't feel pain
i want to have been there when you died
i want to have hold you while you were still alive
today you were supposed to be a half years old
but you died on the road a few days ago
they run you over in the morning
but i didn't find out until several hours later
could we have saved you if we found out sooner?
i hope not, 'cause that means you died in pain
frightened, alone and cold
knowing i wasn't there when you needed me the most
