Happy Birthday Luke~ turning 29 today.
He's not in the best shape still and so the boys decided to cheer him up. So they got him his very own little cat. The black little beauty they got him is called Luna.

Luke nods and smiles slightly. "I don't mind at all. You seem to have understood her very well. Though I would be so daring as to say that most of the firm values were for the worse. Especially for me..." He shakes his head and indicates that perhaps they should leave the subject there.
As Adrien starts explaining about the proper way to eat sushi Luke puts the chopsticks down beside his plate as he doesn't want to be rude enough to eat as he gets it all explained to him. He listens carefully and nods slightly by each new thing. Seeing the excusing smile he just smiles slightly and shakes his head to show he took no offence in being corrected.
When Adrien finally finishes he again picks his chopsticks up. "With what we said before about honour and such I'm not surprised that there were this many rules. Some of them sounds like common courtesy to me, though that might be different from everyone. I will try to remember them all~" He smiles and picks up another piece and gently dips it the way Adrien just described with only the fish in the soy sauce before he eats it. And he must admit that the flavor became very different when doing it this way.
Once he swallows he takes a sip of his wine before he nods at Adrien. "To go through all the do and don'ts of European culture would take forever as there are too many countries with too many etiquettes. Though I can tell you some things about the Spanish way of behaving around the dinner table. First of all you can expect it to be loud, especially in the lower classes as everyone speaks to everyone, and to be heard you have to be loud. Though in the finer families this is usually not as much of an issue.
You use cutlery to eat anything, even fruit. Nothing is to be eaten with your hands. If there's bread served to the food you can use that as cutlery as well to help get your food onto your fork. And when you're done eating you leave your cutlery on the plate parallel to each other. Then the staff knows you're done. If you lay it in a cross or beside your plate you still hasn't finished. And speaking of cutlery, never - ever - cut your lettuce. You use the knife and fork to fold it until it fits on the fork and you can eat it without any problems. And make sure you don't leave any food on the plate. It's an insult as it's usually interpreted as the food not being good enough. Also remember to keep your hands fully visible during the whole meal even if you don't have anything in them. It's very rude to hide your hands. And for the love of God, never put your elbows on the table." He smiles slightly and takes another sip of his wine as he goes through most of his own upbringing to find the rest of the things to do and not to do. "If you go to a dinner party, always allow for the oldest members to enter a room before you if you're going to the same room. And never sit down on your own accord. Wait to be seated and never sit down until the host or hostess and the guest of honour have taken their seats. And never discuss business during the meal. The food is there to be enjoyed, not forgotten due to serious talk." He looks up a bit more at Adrien and keeps his smile. "Also, always shake hands with everyone as you arrive, as well as when you're leaving. And my advice is to never stand to close to someone talking as they might take an eye out with their lively hand gestures~" He chuckles some and takes another sip of wine. "Of course there's many more things as well, but perhaps we can save those for a later time, no?"

A small smile showed on his lips "I'm relieved to hear that. And I do not doubt that those values have been none beneficial at times." he wanted to answer not to be impolite but his voice made it clear that it was the last he had to say on the subject for now.
Adrien wouldn't have minded Luke continuing to eat, and had it been a warm course he would even have encouraged it. But seeing that Luke took no offence in the small correction...
Adrien smiled a little "Indeed but as there are quite a few more I it is a little excessive. And most do not find it common courtesy... But I am glad to hear that some people try, it is appreciated." he said and the smile grew a little warmer. Seeing Luke dip the sushi the proper way made the traditional side of him swell slightly with pride.
He took a bite himself but without thinking about it he put his own chopsticks down as Luke started speaking and he nodded understanding as he said he would keep to the Spanish culture.
But just hearing the first part he knows he would not fit in as he prefers to keep a polite conversation tone. And so, after hearing that it felt comfortable to hear about the cutlery knowing he had done something correct. But hearing the stern warning the corner of his mouth twitched as he found it slightly amusing, but he nodded to show he understood, and he repeated the gesture as Luke told of leaving food and where to keep your hands. But at the mentioning of the elbows he let out a low chuckle as he had heard the same warning before.
And seeing Luke take a sip of the wine he did the same as he almost had forgotten about it, but he never stopped listening... And hearing you should not talk business he almost looked wondering as that was not his experience, but at remembering why Luke told about Spanish culture in specific the polite smile returned and he nodded to then listen to the rest. Another chuckle escaped him at the warning of standing to close and he then nods "I will do my best to follow your advice" he said with a polite bow of his head and to let Luke know that they indeed could leave the rest for a later time.

Luke nods but he too feels that they should leave the subject so he says nothing more than the acknowledging nod.
"Indeed. And perhaps at some later date you would like to tell me more about the customs. I'm a fast study so I would like to learn as much as possible seeing how the Japanese culture is getting more important." He smiles some and nods as Adrien appreciates what he says. And as he eats the way Adrien said he can almost hint that it was the right thing to do from the vibes he feels from Adrien.
As he talks he watches Adriens expressions without staring as he wish to see how he takes it all. He likes seeing the small acknowledging nods and such. But the frown as he talks about business amuses him as most people seem to react the same way about that one. Hearing the chuckle he smiles at him and nods. "Sounds good~ It would be a horrible way to loose an eye~" He shakes his head looking rather amused at the thought anyway.
So when Adrien confirms that they can talk about it more later Luke nods and raises his glass again for yet another toast.

"I would not mind at all, I might find some customs excessive but... I am still proud over them as a part of my culture, and with that happy to share it with people who truly care." he smiles warmly and takes a sip of his wine.
Adrien lets out a low chuckle and nods "I might just manage thou..." he pushed his glasses up with a meaning hint in his eyes but then takes a piece of sushi and eats.
But as Luke raises his glass to toast Adrien does the same.
