A desperate man tries to return home to his pregnant fiancée after a mysterious apocalyptic event turns everything to chaos.
After an unknown cataclysmic event on the US West coast, a devoted father set out on a 2000 mile journey from Chicago to rescue his daughter from Seattle. During the journey an unlikely bond develops between them as they are forced to deal with a collapse in humanity, all desperate to stay alive, still unaware of what has taken place.
I wish I could give this movie a big 0. Nothing original throughout the movie, classic world in danger run to your love plot, cliche dad-groom issue, cliche gun scenes. Incredibly predictable and horrible movie. No message, no plot, no ending truly wasted my 1h52mn of my life and our Saturday movie night. Thanks Netflix
Go watch The Road instead. This is mediocre and that's the best parts.
Be advised, however, that the idiotic ending doesn’t redeem the uneven middle portion.
