Here is how you knit a Potato Chip Scarf: Cast on 20 stitches. Knit 8, Turn. Knit 8, Turn. Knit 6, Turn. Knit 6, Turn. Knit 4, Turn. Knit 4, Turn. Knit 20. Repeat pattern until desired length. Use largest suggested needle or needle that gives the desired effect. I had to knit about 4 inches before I could see the twisted look starting.
Knitters call them potato chip scarfs because they're very addictive. Like potato chips, you can't just eat one. I have seen many potato chip scarf patterns and photos all over the web recently. Introduction: Potato Chip Scarf. This is a really fun scarf that curls. Step 1: Yarn. Use worsted weight (medium weight) yarn. Step 2: Cast On. Cast on 18 stitches with Size 7 needles. Step 3: Knit 8. Knit 8 stitches. Step 4: Flip, and Knit 8 Back. Step 5: Knit 6. Step 6: Flip, and Knit 6 Back. Step 7: Knit 4.
As the slogan for Pringles goes: once you pop you just can't stop. Similarly, you'll have a hard time making just one of these addictive Potato Chip Scarves. Follow the simple scarf knitting pattern to create a simple scarf.
