26 Jan 2009 Karsten “A" Kit: 1-Saddle; 2-1/4 bolts; 2-Lock wheels; 1-Rubber pad. Estimated Time: Less than 1 hr. The first step in the installation of the A-model is to decide where on the stock you want the rest to sit. On bolt action rifles make sure you can cycle and remove the bolt once the cheek rest is installed.

There are good instructions at www.snipercentral.com/karsten.htm and tacticalblog.wordpress.com/tactical-works/installation-instructions for installing the A & C Model Karsten You can still mount the cheek piece fairly far forward since the bolt will be tiltable (at least on a Remington 700 action) as you pull it out.

24 Mar 2010 I ordered one of Karsten's A model cheek pieces when I first got my rifle about a year and a half ago. I never got around to installing it, partly.

A couple of e-mail exchanges with Karsten, an electronic transfer of payment, and my Kydex cheek rest would be on its way. When my order shipped, Karsten notified me via e-mail and included a couple of links to assist with the install. The cheek rest, mounting hardware, and instructions arrived in time for a weekend
