Well... since jag är supertrött och ska lägga mig så kopierar jag bara texten från min DA.
Well, I guess it's done. It feels like I could've done so much more but I don't have the inspiration or passion to continue with it.
So I will just say that it's done and start on another project for now. Who knows, maybe I'll do this one again sometime, digital and with a background and shading!
I really do hope you like it.
I feel like I didn't get to find John interesting until he showed up in Ginga Densetsu Weed. Before I just thought of him as a great douche that could need a good beating by his fellow companions so he could find his place instead of acting tough and disrespectful against those above him.
But later when I saw him in GDW I came to realize that he was a real dog. A real fighter that would stand up to what he thought was right and fair.
For that I do respect him and I really think that his death was the saddest in the whole series. It made me cry rivers and I locked myself into my room just cursing and crying all weekend when I did. I couldn't believe it was true and I kept saying that to my friend because they can't just kill the coolest character in GDW!?
I have also always thought that he and a dog I had when I was very young, Charlie (That also was a German shepherd) was very similar to each other. Not only because they were both German shepherds, but also in personality. Charlie was a brave, loyal and (against those he thought would harm us) fierce dog.
So you always felt safe, walking about at night with Charlie at your side. And I think Charlie was John come true. ^w^
So I have always liked to draw John in his last moments alive, his last stand. As a tribute to the great dog he was. He stood bravely and unbudging until the very end, spitting at Hougens ways and never showing him any fear!
