In this 3rd cartoon of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic and his two siblings, Manic and Sonia are the hit rock band, Sonic Undeground. But in reality they are the children of Queen Aleana, the queen of Mobius. Queen Aleana was abandoned from Mobius by Sonic's enemy, Dr. Robotnik who turned Mobius into a waste land. So now Sonic, Manic and Sonia must fight Dr. Robotnik and his two sidekicks, Sleet and Dingo and the SWAT Bots, with the aid of their metal medallions and bring peace to Mobius and find mother! Will the hedgehogs find their mother? Will they defeat Robotnik? The resistance begins on Sonic Undergroud!
Sonic and his royal siblings seek to find their mother and defeat the tyrant, Robotnik.
So I know a lot of people have seen in and yes to agree with the more varied reviews it's not an amazing show, it just about pases as good in my eyes. One thing that the show does really well is create a Sonic storyline which is a bit out of the norm, admitabley the songs in the show get very tiresome after just a few episodes but they're not a deal breaker.
The characters are okay, they're back story's are explored to a decent extent and it does provide an interesting insight into the Sonic universe. That's pretty much where the praise stops, I mean I like watching the show but as much as I do I'm not blind to seeing it's pitfalls.
The animation is pretty bad, the voices barley sync up with the characters and often the characters replies would be very delayed.
Like a bunch if he other reviewers I was very disappointed with how the show ended, the gang of hedgehogs never found their mother. Instead we were just left with a bog standard final episode!
At first I was glad to hear there was another Sonic cartoon coming. I liked the ABC show and the Adv. of Sonic show and thought this would be just as good or better. Well I was wrong. It's not bad as far as cartoons are concerned, but compared to the other Sonic shows, it stinks. The main reason is the lack of Tails and the other characters from the ABC show. The premise is also very hard to swallow. It's worth the occasional viewing, but not worth constant watching.
