5 Jul 2014 hey did you ever get that fixed? i have the same problem my 2003 jaguar x type stick shifft (manual) just went limp, i have no idea where the linkage connects to or anything haven't looked but i think i can find it, i just want to know if it fixed your problem. 1 of 1 people found this helpful. It only a matter of time before performance of the transmission gets worse and worse. BUT that transmission is VERY easy to replace, i would check out a few trustworthy independent shops to give you a better price! I am usually a die-hard dealership, having been working at this jaguar land rover dealership

Out of all the manual cars i have had this is the only one that does easily downshift into 1st from 2nd. I dont think it is just because it is awd. it will downshift
