21 Dec 2011 Try using pdf2ps and ps2pdf in succession. It's a little cumbersome but it helped me reduce my 30MB document down to 17MB. Not as much as I would have liked but still better. I got this idea from a friend who used this method to get rid of password permissions on a pdf. pdf2ps your_pdf_file.pdf
Hello, I'm trying to write up some instructions for users for an Applescript that will use ps2pdf to create a PDF file from a PS file dropped into a watched folder. I know that ps2pdf is not part of a default OS X 10.2 (Jaguar) installation (but that pstopdf IS part of a default 10.3 Panther installation), and I wonder if anyone can tell
