Welcome to the X3 Terran Conflict Merchant's Survival Guide. I've seen a number of people post on the forums that they're having trouble getting started in Terran Conflict, so I decided to share some of my experience and ideas. Starting Scenario: I recommend the Humble Merchant start, which I used.

Humble Merchant-start, is somewhat broken, and will pose some people a few problems, due to you starting out in a Merchant-ship, without any weapons. And be hailed by a ship called 'Argon Flight School'. This start gives you two ships, one scout-ship, and one transporter-ship.
I find guides are usually not in depth enough before the 'making fat stacks' part of the game. My last game I started the Goner-start but I played heavily as a trader in the Argon Core sectors. The available 'trading guides' for X3TC don't seem to work as well in XRM as they do for vanillaexample: most guides say it's a good idea to built one, or a few, Wheat Farms in the Argon Core sectors.
