"Expendables" meets the "A-Team" in this full throttle action film, where a group of skilled mercenaries find themselves betrayed by the US government and are forced to fight their way out of an ambush by a new, and lethal team of human droids.
While the film is nothing mindblowing, it does have a lot of very cool action sequences. The choreography isn't half bad, and the music is decent-to-good. There is a large emphasis on slow-mo, and the "unstoppable mercenary team" shtick isn't new to anybody who has seen The Expendables.
Still, it's a surprisingly fun movie with a good ending.
If you just sit down and watch. It's an enjoyable, action-packed movie. As a lover of action, I really enjoyed watching it. The stunts were off the chain! I appreciated the underlying humor and the cryptic remarks. The characters were solid and I was blown away by the fight scene. The fight choreographer knew what he was doing. I honestly don't understand the negative comments, to each their own.
But the harshest criticism usually comes from those who are unskilled and untalented or those that don't understand what hard work is put into this kind of art and creativity.
