Being a member of the military, The Brave is a fun and an engaging show to watch by yourself, with your family, and with your friends. Seal Team is great and Valor is meh, but The Brave is just more likable and it has a better story-line to follow from start to finish. People complain about the show not taking itself seriously and I must say, "Thank God its doesn't". I live a serious life as it is, I like to come home and have a sense of relief and share a couple laughs with my wife and my kids. Each break, we discuss scenarios of what could happen next. either good or bad and by doing so, that brings our family together even more. The co-main character Jaz is one BAD woman, and honestly she is the heart of the show. Its nice to see a woman dominate a show week to week, episode to episode. The other actors/actresses brings their own unique flavor of charisma to show as well, which brings me to edge of my seat every single episode. The Brave is the best military team show that I have seen in quite some time. Please watch The Brave with an open mind and you will not be disappointed.
The US government relies on two sets of skilled teams to take on various global threats. Deputy Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Patricia Campbell (Anne Heche) leads a team of intelligence analysts in Washington. They organize the intel and the plans. Captain Adam Dalton (Mike Vogel) leads a team of special forces operators. They travel the globe to execute those plans.
There are various military shows starting up on network TV. The quality of this one falls somewhere in the middle of that genre and got cancelled after 13 episodes. The Washington part is lackluster and the only performance of strength comes from Heche. There is nothing to that world other than people in suits in front of computer screens. The special forces team has a bit more personality. Vogel as the lead is functional although not that awe-inspiring. It's very questionable how this mostly white group operates around the world as a counter-espionage team. They are more than a shoot them up military team which is very dubious. A lot of their work would be done by a local team or in partnership with one. It's just as well that this got canceled.
