Det bästa jag upptäckt på evigheter <3
The Starlets - Further Into The Night (Stereotone/SL, 2003) UK
Upptäckte dem igår, och bara några timmar efter att jag hört dem för första gången beställde jag deras första album från 2003. De har gett ut även en till fullängdare och två 7".
En beskrivning av musiken på engelska:
"Pop with PUNK ROCK attitude, the Starlets have been compared to the Housemartins by people presumably with an axe to grind, as they sound nothing like the aforementioned combo - they quote Iggy Pop, the Go-Betweens and Judy Garland as influences and who are we to argue?"
En helt fantastisk blandning av twee, indie-pop och grind. Det är smutsigt men både skört och vackert på samma gång. Kärlek vid första öronkastet <3
