In New Orleans, English teacher of the high school Rampart High, Will Gerard, and his wife, musician Laura Gerard, are in love with each other. One night, Laura leaves a rehearsal and is assaulted, while Will is playing chess with his friend Jimmy. Will is visiting her in hospital when, out of the blue, a stranger named Simon tells him that he belongs to an organization of vigilantes and offers to eliminate the assailant. In return, the organisation would want a favor from Will in the future. Will agrees, and the criminal is murdered. Six months later, Simon collects his debt with Will. He demands that Will kill Alan Marsh, a pedophile. Will accidentally kills Alan and soon he learns that the victim was an awarded journalist that was investigating the organization. Now he seeks evidences to prove his innocence but the network of the organization is powerful and is seeking Will out to eliminate him.
After his wife is assaulted, a husband enlists the services of a vigilante group to help him settle the score. Then he discovers they want a 'favor' from him in return.
sometimes we need these types of movies for a change to chill out a bit and just have fun to be honest this movie is good, the plot was interesting and I loved it, the acting was good, the best thing is that i was hooked up through out the whole movie, sometimes we need to just chill out and watch a good old thriller like this movies,The story is simple Nicholas cage was offered to seek justice from a dude who raped his wife,the story get more interesting as the movie goes by, . I won't say any spoilers because i don't want to spoil thing for you, get your pop corn, prepare your DVD and enjoy this smooth roller coaster ride, don't think about plot holes and stuff just chill out and have fun....
Seeking Justice – TRASH IT (C+) Seeking Justice is about a happily married family man's quiet life is turned upside-down when his wife is brutally attacked one night while leaving work. The husband unwittingly pulls himself into a dangerous underground vigilante operation after agreeing to an intriguing offer for a stranger to exact vengeance on his wife's attacker. Well the premise of the movie is perfect for average thriller and that's what Seeking Justice is an average thriller. Though, I strongly believe that if it wouldn't have been Nicolas Cage in the movie then it would have made to the theaters. But sadly every Nicolas Cage movie these days first ends up on shelves and then direct-to-DVD. There is nothing I can say about Nicolas Cage though he was better than his recent crap movies. Guy Pearce is creepy and January Jones has to be the coldest actress around. Good or bad she is easy on eyes. Overall, don't watch unless they're showing for free late night on TV and there is nothing else to do, just like I did!
An unsuspenseful thriller with shades of "Death Wish." Nicolas Cage's return to New Orleans doesn't even have a hallucinatory iguana to recommend it.
