10 Nov 2016 When I had 622, 722, and 722K receivers you could set the time that you wanted the reboot. With the newer Hopper receivers you can not, which is a step backward in my opinion. I don't think that Dish thinks this is a problem because people have been complaining for years and you still can't set the reboot
31 Mar 2015 Most digital cable equipment usually updates the program guide automatically when the TV is off or inactive over a long period of time. However, if your TV is constantly running and you notice that your program guide is not current, you can manually update your Dish Network program guide by rebooting

4 Aug 2012 Just got my 1H/3J. Install went smooth but my Hopper still says "Your program guide and dvr are being updated" It's had this message on the screen for over 3 hours and I can't record anything or set timers yet. The installation tech said it would only take 2 hours. Anyone out there encountered this or know
The Hopper will shutdown to download updates and the guide. You get about a He's been a Dish customer for a long time and said you used to be able to set the update time on the older models.
