The alarm manual is very difficult to workout but there is a paragraph that states something like, " should the alarm give 4 beeps on unlocking the car then this is to warn that the alarm has been fully activated". Try tapping the windows to get it to go off then unlock the car you will hear the 4 warning beeps.
I have a Megane III with keyless entry and would like to know how to switch off the alarm volumetric sensor for when I leave my dog in the car. Many thanks ! Got this from Renault customer support - its an omission from the manual - Switch off the car and then without pressing any pedals press the start button 5 times in quick sucsession (less than 10 seconds). Exit the car and lock as usuall - car indicators should flash 5 times - this should deactivate the internal
22 Jul 2011 Default. Only need to press the start button twice, not 5 times. If you don't believe me check the manual. You want also get 4 beeps if you lock the car quickly after turning the ignition off, don't worry it will have deactived the volumentrics anyway.

As title, chance ill have my dog in the car on sunday, and ill need to keep him in the car for half hour or so, so i need to lock it but disarm the alarm? Is this possible? The booklet should be in your book pack - it is much thinner than the main manual. It has instructions on how to turn off the internal sensors
