What's the most lossless and quality preserving options? I would imagine png is the most lossless, but GIMP also gives me a lot of other options
19 Jan 2018 One would change the resolution of an image particularly for printing purposes, because the quality of the print is dependent on the resolution of the image. With GIMP open, go to File > Open and select an image. Go to Image > Print Size. A Set Image Print Resolution dialog box will appear like the one pictured below.
