3 Jan 2012 Because the use of guided meditations has been more prevalent in non-Christian traditions than in Christian traditions, it is easy to find good meditations that don't mention God or Jesus. It's fine to use these meditations if you wish. It is also good to invite people to imagine an encounter with God, Jesus
on a scene from the Scriptures or from everyday life. It is led by a person (guide) who describes the scene and the actions of those in the story. The purpose of guided meditation is to relax the participants so that they are free to use their senses to imagine a personal encounter with Jesus. How to Use A Guided Meditation. 1.
