27 Dec 2014 But this got me to thinking, that although I'll build these waveguide MTMs anyway, I'd like to try the DT/WG-300 in a straight TM to sidestep the inevitable vertical lobing. Looking around, I keep coming back to the Monacor SP-8/150Pro. I get that it's not state of the art, but it is cheap, seems to have tested well

I helped build a friends speakers using the Monacor DT300/wave guide. They sound very interesting, it confirms my own experience with waveguides and drivers, and puts it quite eloquently: ". In the beginning I thought the DT300 had some distortion at high levels until I realised how loud I was playing.
