Mar 24, 2015 The ARMv8 Architecture Reference Manual, known as the ARM ARM, fully describes the. ARMv8 instruction set architecture, programmer's model, system registers, debug features and memory model. It forms a detailed specification to which all implementations of ARM processors must adhere. References
The ARM architecture (pre-ARMv8) provides a non-intrusive way of extending the instruction set using "coprocessors" that can be addressed using MCR, MRC, MRRC, MCRR and similar instructions. The coprocessor space is divided logically into 16 coprocessors with numbers from 0 to 15, coprocessor 15 (cp15) being
May 7, 2014 This document provides a high-level overview of the ARMv8 instructions sets, being mainly the new A64 instruction set used in AArch64 state but also those new instructions added to the A32 and T32 instruction sets since ARMv7-A for use in AArch32 state. For A64 this document specifies the preferred

The new A64 instruction set is similar to the existing A32 instruction set. Instructions are 32 bits wide and have similar syntax. The instruction sets use a generic naming convention within the ARMv8 architecture, so that the original 32-bit instruction set states are now called: A32.
One of the most significant changes introduced in the ARMv8 architecture is the addition of a 64-bit instruction set. This set complements the existing 32-bit instruction set architecture. This addition provides access to 64-bit wide integer registers and data operations, and the ability to use 64-bit sized pointers to memory.
The A64 instruction set is similar to the existing A32 instruction set. The instructions themselves are still 32 bits wide and have similar syntax. The instruction sets use a generic naming convention within the ARMv8-A architecture, so that the original 32-bit instruction set states are now called: A32.
Per the ARMv8 ISA: CSET Wd, cond. Conditional Set: Wd = if cond then 1 else 0. Meaning the instruction performs a Conditional Set instruction. What is a Conditional Set instruction? Conditional set: conditionally select between 0 and 1 or -1, for example to materialize the condition flags as a Boolean value or mask in a
