Visste ni att The Knife har skrivit musiken till en opera som handlar om evolutionsteorin och som gästspelar i Stocholm!?
Det låter nästan för bra för att vara sant, men det är inte en dröm.
"Tomorrow, in a year
A Darwin opera
Darwin’s perception of nature and time forms the basis for Hotel Pro Forma’s collaboration with
music group The Knife and choreographer Hiroaki Umeda, Tomorrow, in a year. A performance
of evolution and change, of transformation and mutation. A performance that does not deal with
Darwin but acts like Darwin.
New compositions on a changing stage
Tomorrow, in a year is an opera. The opera concept places the performance on a large scale and
in a space of reality where expression dominates.
The Swedish music group The Knife creates
completely new compositions that challenge the conventional conception of opera. The form is
experimental and exploratory. The music is written for three singers who come from different
backgrounds: pop, classical opera and performance. They are the protagonists of the performance,
displaying three ways of experiencing the world. They are the spokesman, the organiser, and the
one who acts. They are structure, sensation, form, time and thought.
The Japanese choreographer and dancer Hiroaki Umeda creates the choreography for six
dancers of different ages and and physical forms, based on classical and modern dance. They
are organisms, raw material, bodies that enter into various contexts; they are main and secondary
characters in a changing process."

Det här måste vara det bästa som någonsin hänt inom scenkonsten, alla kategorier.

Det här låter onekligen jätteintressant.
