1.1 Relational databases. 1.1.1 Tables, rows, and columns. Most relational database servers, including the solidDB family, use a programming language known as the Structured Query Language (SQL). SQL is a set-oriented programming language that is designed to allow people to query and update tables of information.
This appendix provides descriptions of the solidDB SQL statements, including examples.
This appendix presents a simplified description of the SQL statements, including some examples. Note that earlier versions of this manual put the sync-related SQL commands in a separate chapter. This version of the manual puts all the SQL commands into this one appendix. solidDB® SQL syntax is based on the ANSI
