Basics of giro & molinete in tango (elementary-intermediate) Giro for beginners and intermediates. This brief lesson is made for those who have just learned the giro and molinete (aka grapevine) figures at a tango lesson or workshop.

Lesson 6 of 'Argentine Tango Dancing ' - Side Cross steps, Grapevine, Molinetes. Now try two more Side Cross steps, but this time beginning with a Side Cross Behind followed by a Side Cross Front. . When the circle become very small, the person on the inside will just stay in place and do a giro (turn) of some kind.
The giro, or turn, in Argentine tango is a basic set of steps, and part of the Code. The late Alberto Paz and his wife Valerie Hart had an excellent way of teaching the giro.
