RANGING ACCURACY The ranging accuracy of the TOUR V3 is plus or minus one yard/meter under most circumstances. The maximum range of the instrument depends on the reflectivity of the target. The maximum distance for most objects is 700 yards/640 meters while for highly reflective objects the maximum is 1000

The rangefinder can be used to measure distances in yards or meters. The unit of measure indicators are located in the lower right portion of the LCD. To select between yards and meters, the unit should be off. While looking through the eyepiece, press and hold the POWER button down for approximately 5 seconds.
Suggest you go to the bushnell website, under golf, select tour V3. A tab for "manual" provides a pdf download for the user manual. Here's an excerpt from the manual. To select between yards and meters, press and hold the POWER/FIRE button.
9 Apr 2013 I had a chance to have a better play of the Bushnell Tour V3 which I wrote about earlier. The first thing Tour V3. Reading the manual also made it more confusing. The readings should start interchanging between yards and meters. when it shows meter readings, hit the button again to confirm the switch.
