It represents both the Lion's hot,roaring energy, and theMaiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden isunafraid, undaunted,and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion'smouth, in othersshe shuts it. Either way, she proves that innerstrength is morepowerful than raw physical strength. That forces can becontrolled andused to score a victory is very close to the message ofthe Chariot,which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that iscard 8 insteadof Strength. With strength you can control not only thesituation, butyourself. It is a card about anger and impulsemanagement, aboutcreative answers, leadership and maintaining one'spersonal honor. Itcan also stand for a steadfast friend.
