it is possible that if you manage to rewind the tape using the manual release, that reconnecting the drive may allow the drive to eject the tape using the eject button on the front I have DEll PVT110t LTO2 backup drive & my backup tape got stuck into it.please help me for the successful ejection of tape.

I opened it up and the tape is firmly stuck in the place where it sits (dunno what to call it). Doesn't budge at all. Tape doesn't matter, I'd rather have the drive working

I use a Dell PowerVault 124T with ArcServe to do our firms Tape backup at the end of each working day. If you don't get an errors then try to eject the magazines and see if you can rotate the picker to see if there is any media in it or not. Now you can manually eject the magazines from your PV124T.

13 Oct 2015 I've powercycled many times. Symantec Backup Exec seems to think there are tapes in the left magazine, but there aren't. When I try to manually eject, the PV 124T display says, "drive location full" (or something like that). All 16 slots are completely empty currently. The PV 124T was apparently bought used,
NOTE: The device drivers supplied on the Dell PowerVault 124T LTO-3 Autoloader User's Manual and Drivers CD are required if you intend to use the Microsoft .. NOTE: On the front panel menu, whenever you see Enter or Eject, it means the tape enters and leaves the autoloader through the media door (mailslot).
