Our journey started out early in 2008, when Michael and Tobias decided that they wanted to form a band. It took a few weeks, but then suddenly at a party they met our lead guitarist, Ezra Tid (Who played bass at that time). Then only two days after that, Michael found another member at his school next door, Viktor S.
Finally we had a complete line-up and Arrested Royalties was formed. At the time neither of us had played any instrument before and therefore we all had to practise really hard at home and together at rehearsals. But there was no stopping us and our ambitions. We rehearsed eight hours a week and we've done that ever since.
Then came a little down period fort the band when Ezra decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. After his decision to leave we had a couple of temporary members in the band. At first one who played bass with us for three months before we kicked him out. Then there was another who played guitar with us for three months as well, but not at the same time.
So now we had vocals, guitar, drums and what we needed was another guitar and a bass. Fortunately Ezra decided to come back to the community of our band. Michael,Tobias and Viktor S was thrilled to have him back.
Then at the winther of February 2009 our current bass playing happypackage Viktor F joined the band. And with the best line-up we've ever had we began to develop rapidly. Technically we grew a lot and took our music to a whole other level. Our music took a huge turn from easy pure Punk-Rock to more advanced Post-Hardcore influenced tunes. After all of this we've just had an amazing time!!
We had our first live performance at 2010 in February at Barbacka. About 60 people came to see us and it was unbelieveable!! We were ready to get our word out after two years of silence and loads of rehearsing.
We've currently been down in Ystad at GPM Studios and recorded three new songs. (Last time we were there we recorded two, Phrases and Graceland). You'll be able to listen to them here at our website and hopefully you'll buy our cd as well in case of an upcoming EP.
We love all of our fans so much, you all mean the world to us and our life would suck without you!!! Arrested Royalties loves music incredibly much and we love to deliver fast and amazing tunes for our fans. So we really hope to see you at our upcoming shows.
