I have HP pavillion 790 (win XP) and HP deskjet 880. Recently, I installed Acrobat 5. It worked fine for few days. Now, when I try to print Adobe Acrobat .pdf documents, the general page layout may print correctly, the fonts do not print correctly. Instead of fonts, I receive squares, dots, funny letters in the printed version.
There seems to be no in-between it either prints as a line or almost not at all. Don't have this issue printing with v8. It seems like with V8i it is making the dots too small for the printer to actually print. It's funny that they show up looking decent if I make a pdf, but then when I acually print the pdf the dots still

I often create PDFs from old WordPerfect forms, or Word docs based on WordPerfect forms. The PDF creates fine and appears perfect on screen. But when I send the PDF to someone else, while it looks fine on their screen, when they print it out, the quote marks and apostrophes in the PDF print out as one

A description appears at the bottom of the dialog box. Set options, and then click OK. Note: Acrobat sets the PostScript level automatically, based on the selected printer.
Of late, when I make a PDF from my ID book file, it is replacing the letters "fi" or "fl" (as in file, flow, specification, etc.) with a dot. I cannot figure out why this is happening. Instead of sending the file to a specific printer, I've been using "Adobe PDF" as the printer; the PPD is "Adobe PDF 9.0". - Shady.
In order to have the text and symbols display correctly in the PDF file, follow these steps: Start the Plot command and choose DWG To PDF.pc3 as plotter. Click Properties and select Custom Properties in the Device and Document Settings tab. Click the Custom Properties button. Under Font Handling, select "Capture all"
There are different ways to print on a DMP: in the best case the application sends the ASCII codes only and the printer prints the text using the built-in fonts. With other fonts, the text will be converted to bitmaps by the printer driver. Results should still be clear. In the worst case, you add bitmaps to the PDF file. Results may
I have created a pdf from my drawing by using the save as function. When I open up the new pdf all the lines look good. When I print the pdf, my titleblock as well as my centerlines are printed as small dots instead of a solid (shaded) line as shown in the drawing and pdf. Is the problem with solidworks,
