You must use a large paper clip because it must be inserted about 1.5 inches (nearly 4 centimeters) to successfully eject the disc. Position the console horizontally, as you would position a DVD player. Find the yellow sticker behind the vents on the left side of the console.
Steps. Remove the faceplate from the console. Straighten out a length of paper clip as best you can. Place the long end of the paper clip in the hole on the very left. Using a flashlight, place the end of the paper clip in the teeth on the right side of the gears and push. Finished.

Once the tray is open you can either Replace the Rubber band with a new one or clean it using cold water and then re install the rubber band. This works on slim and Phat consoles
