9 Jun 2014 Workaround. In Apple Mail, scroll to the end of your email message. Tap Download full message (if visible). Long press (press & hold) the PDF attachment icon. Tap the Acrobat icon.

Whenever I attempt to open a PDF attachment, I receive an error message saying The file "<filename>.PDF" couldn't be I've taken a look in System Prefs and Prefs in Mail, but I cannot for the life of me find where to change this setting. .
