b.t.w. Single file XVM configs made by the editor are horrible to work with and generally not supported anymore. Because of this, I can't guarantee these changes won't break stuff so back-up before changing. I'd recommend using the default XVM multi-file config layout in future. permalink; embed; save

The Online XVM Configuration Editor is designed to simplify advanced customization of the mod (editing the XVM.xc file). You can choose display parameters and marker animation, player panels, logs, statistics and other game interface elements. For choosing color schemes, we recommend using ColorWizard.
19 Apr 2014 Does anyone know of a guide to using the XVM config editor? I want something that explains each page and item to me so I can understand the specifics and make informed decisions about editing the xvm.xc. And specifically if anyone knows about the hitlogs I would love to know how to turn off the hitlog
The guide is still very useful as a reference - more so when combined with the latest XVM documentation. Due to the constant reformatting issues on this forum .. it all well do not necessarily need this guide ;). This includes those who do not know how to do more than simple editing in Notepad++ too.
You can manually edit the configuration file in a text editor like Notepad++.
