Sort the files as desired in the icon or thumbnail view using the Align to Grid and Auto Arrange option. (Right click anywhere in the folder pane to select these options). 3. Rename the first file (right-click rename).
9 Dec 2015 Download disable-auto-arrange.zip. Extract the files from the archive you just downloaded. Run disableautoarrange.reg to add it to your registry. Open This PC and close it. Now repeat Step 6 to restart Windows Explorer. Now auto arrange should be disabled and you can freely arrange files inside folders.
