With this new version of Local Guides, i'm now Level 7 with 8,667 points. I've haven't read all the literature with this new points system, but I understand that some things reward with more than 1 point. And I just redeemed my three months of Google Music. I'm not a subscriber, as I don't really want to pay
So I believe this question has been asked, but I've been contributing to Google maps, for over a year. I would be level 5 if I was in local tiers update its not like being a local guide matters to begin with. The rewards are absolute shit and you should only be doing Local Guides if you're enjoying doing it.

I just saw they dropped the Drive storage reward to local guides from 1 TB to 100GB last year. Earlier I know Google gives 2 GB of storage when you cross 200 points. I think Google sill give rewards for their
Level 4 is the real target if you're looking for a tangible reward. The HD space is only good for a year. If you get to 5 you can add an HTML signature to your Google Connect posts and enter the lottery to go to some big summit (apparently very low odds of getting an invite). One year they gave away t-shirts.
