<!--StartFragment-->
Once upon a time, a child found herself a place,
A place she could possibly call home
Eyes bright she sat down,
But then the devil emerged
Torturing her
Clawing at her
She could not let him see her weakness
So she carved her eyes out
Not to let the tears show
And moved on
Once upon a time, a child found herself a place,
A place she could possibly call home
Smiling gladly, she began to relax,
For the first time letting down her guard
But then the devil emerged
And tortured her with words
Telling her she was the demon
So she punished herself
And starved herself
And then moved on
Once upon a time, a child found herself a place,
A place she could possibly call home
Content she sat down
Deciding to sleep in the dense light
But then the devil emerged
Stinging her with torment
So she punished herself
Clawing and beating
Her body bruised
She ran off into the night
One upon a time, a child thought she found herself a place,
A place she could come to call home
Now she’s walking on an empty road,
Lost in the dark, staring up at the lonely moon
Wishing, sadly, for a place to call home
