23 Dec 2007 That was four years ago, everytime I think of a nice restaurant to go to, I kick myself because I didn't know/think about going to Marconi's and supporting “the grande dame of dining" (Zagats 2001) in Baltimore. If anyone has any menus or old reviews of Marconi's, please with haste, send them to me,
I could eat anyone under the table eating one of these salads, and to this day, this salad is a favorite of mine. Just recently, this inspired Marconi Chopped Salad showed up in the Baltimore Sun paper by Brucie White who answered a request for this recipe. 2 Jul 2009 Marconi's closed in 2005. Doug H. had lived and worked in Baltimore for 13 years before he moved to Annapolis, but he had never heard of Marconi's. Doug H. got taken to the local landmark for dinner recently, ordered minestrone and shrimp Creole and pronounced the restaurant "nice but dated.".
