I'm more seriously than ever considering leaving Estonia and moving to Stockholm.
Does anyone of you have tips when it comes to finding a place to stay and a job that would help to keep me fed in the beginning? I'm not very picky and would live wherever/do whatever I can, just to get started.

Rootsis on sotsiaalmaksust.
i used to know a lil bit of estonia but forgot so i used a translate program cuz i though it would be fun^^
hope it doesent say anything weird now O_o

I do have an ID number but each country has their own, decentralized system for that. Mine only means something in estonia.

hmm i see.
well im kinda sure that you need to get the numbers before you sign a contract with anybody. you know for jobs and apartments. otherwise the papers wont be legit- i think..
i suppose you could get a temporary number though.
but it seems like alot of extra work ._.
wow moving is hard

It is, especially to sweden since a lot of this stuff is regulated heavily. Anyway.. I know that I can sign a temporary job contract without a personnummer and this would be a key to getting one. Been reading up a lot on this stuff recently..

If you want to rent then a couple of years in this queue: http://www.bostad.stockholm.se/sv/ but if you just need something temporary http://www.blocket.se/stockholm/lagenheter?ca=11&w=1&cg=3020&st=u there's adds for all kinds of living situations there. That's the two basic ones atleast. :')

How temporary are the temporary ones? Would the owners be ok with me staying there for like a few years?

Okey so basically how it works around here is young people move all the time for a few years before they've been in line long enough to get a first hand contract. :') The temporary ones vary since it's diffrent people posting them but unless you find someone how's looking for a long term roommate you'd probably have to move pretty often too. Unless you're a student it's pretty shitty. :'D I think they say like 2-3 years before you can get one in the less attractive areas, aka da hooooood!

It's much more simple here, you just look at ads, go see some flats and pick one out..
Hmh, to find a roommate now I gues..Anyone up for living with a weird not-that-social guy? :')

You mean finding an apartment?
I could find a roommate, but that's gonna be difficult..
