Jun 21, 2010 OK- I bought a used .450 Guide Gun with a 3 X 9 scope on it. Obviously that isn't gonna work for this gun. I am thinking about 4 options. 1. Ghost Ring sights 2. Nov 23, 2010 Ok folks here the deal, just picked up a Marlin guide gun and want to mount a scout scope setup, Ive been looking at Leatherwood 2x7, Burris 2.75x and Leupold 2.5x. Does anyone here have guide guns or similar with scout scopes? I need opinions especially about the Leatherwood Thanks for your time.

I have a peep sight on my Guide gun and a forward rail for a Leupold 2x Scout scope (still need to get the scope. see well enough to use all of these under 100 yards, but I have a hankering to try the best alternative to get a bit more distance out of a lever rifle setup then my eyes can manage with irons.
