27 May 2008 I was wondering if anyone knew how to set the shutter speed on a D300.. I can't find an exterior button and try as I might to search the menus I can't find a shutter speed priority setting.. Then you rotate the same dial without pressing down mode to set the shutter speed.

Design Flaw: Ideally Nikon would provide separate settings for manual and auto exposure. I'd set 1/3 stops for manual exposure and full stops in auto exposure (P, S and A modes). You need the precision in manual mode, but not in the auto modes, because the values chosen by the D300 are set steplessly regardless of

4 Apr 2008 The Nikon D300 (which superseded the highly-regarded D200), offers great image quality and offering many of the same features of the Nikon D3, but at a more affordable price . Since I nearly always shoot in Manual Exposure mode anyway, this setting wouldn't affect my normal operation of the camera.
