28 Sep 2013 Most games should have a resolution option built into them. Some games have the ability to do custom resolution from their settings files. If there is not one, you can use external programs, such as ShiftWindow to try to force another custom resolution. (See width and height in the screenshot below).

the real issue people have is D2 works in 800x600 and not their GG resolution. here's an easy fix for it. Make a shortcut to d2 on the desktop. Click properties on the shorcut and look at the target field. After the text in that field type : xres="1920" yres =1080 for a 1920x1080 res and so on. Have fun. As for color
When i'm playing d2, it runs at its maximum res -800x600, but its as if its keeping my screen in the full resolution and only using a block of 800x600 in th. i found a fix to res problem with no mode. now go to ur d2 short cut then right click and got to properties, the in the target line make sure it says this in that spot.

I know that it?s the resolution because when I set my desktop resolution to 800 x 600 and blow it does the same thing. It also did it in Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory but I changed that in
If that doesn't work, try going into start ---> programs ---> Diablo II folder and changing something in the video settings there. There's also a program (essentially a hack, or a mod if you like it less criminal'ish) that lets you change the resolution in the game up to 1400x900. If you're going to play SP you'll be
It really changes the Diablo II experience, even though it doesn't increase the resolution (which would be a cheat after all). And it works great with high resolution monitors if you use some of the advanced settings - I can help you if you can't figure it out yourself. After I found it, the D2 experience changed
9 Jul 2010 Since Diablo 2 is a sprite based game there is no way to increase the resolution, however, you can increase the drawing size of the screen (ie. be able to see The only fix I found was on the good old Widescreen Gaming Forum (www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19227).
It should start the game and generate a log file. You can't change the res in-game in a non-LoD Diablo II install because there is no resolution button, so exit the game. Look in the D2MultiResLog.txt log file (in your Diablo II folder). It should have a bunch of resolutions it found. Something like this Added
