Henry 'Hank' Howard works as a scientist in a military lab, trying to create a superhuman formula but with little success. He is also in love with the daughter of his boss, a general. In an effort to earn his approval to marry his daughter, Henry tests the formula on himself, inadvertently transforming himself into a purple rage monster and leaving him at the mercy of those who wish to exploit his newfound power.
If you want to watch a deserved follower to "The Room", you have to watch "The Amazing Bulk".
Everything in it is ridiculous, cheesy, retarded and nothing makes sense -> that's the stuff, trash-films should contain!
I'm highly satisfied, having a big smile in my face and hope something will mess with that level of sh*t. :)
Actually that's not the kind of trash-movie some will expect, but to be honest: The cheapness of the entire movie beats everything comparable. Neither "Food Fight" reached that level of silliness.
Give it a try, perfectly on an evening with friends and lots of beer!
This movie lives up to it's title. Amazing. Watch it with friends, and be in the mood for a movie so bad that it has to be good. Grab popcorn and grab some beer and sit back to enjoy The Amazing Bulk. This is a film so atrocious that every scene had us cackling from laughter. It looks like it was shot on a budget of $50, but IMDb assures me the budget was $100 000. God knows where that went, most likely to celebratory cocaine and strippers. Everything in this movie is shot on a green screen. Even the floor, which is hilariously obvious in a dancing scene.
The allusions are obvious and out of place. The spaceships bone to the theme of 2001: A Space Odyssey, and immediately before a character jumps out of a helicopter and lands perfectly alright on his feet, Flight of the Valkyrie plays and forever replaces Apocalypse Now as my go-to mental association with the song.
Alright, I'm not going to get into the plot because I couldn't detect any. Really, I tried for a little bit. Some scientist wants to blow up the moon, marry a girl, or something. There's a two minute scene of terrible CGI space ships having sex. The lead actress gropes the purple bulks man bits. A monkey pops out of a Powerpoint clip-art spaceship. ON THE MOON.
The art was clearly stolen off the walls of a kindergarten classroom, the actors were hobos lifted off the streets, the costumes shoddily sewn together by the directors mother, and the props are all CGI.
In terms of quality filmmaking: 0/10. For overall enjoyability: 10/10
