3.5.4 The treatment goal of lipid lowering therapy in pediatric FH patients is a $50% reduction in LDL cholesterol or LDL cholesterol ,130 mg/dL. 3.6.2 High dose statins may be effective in some ho- mozygous FH patients, but the majority will re- quire LDL apheresis.
