23 Aug 2014 Feel free to use this proces to output 3D PDF files from AutoCAD , Inventor , Revit or any other CAD software. See a sample (660kB). But please note that there are more effective ways how to present 3D CAD models, on any device - e.g. 3D DWF or cloud-based native ("format-less") Autodesk 360 viewer.
Solution: One way to do it for free is to print 3D objects to DWF, you will need Autodesk Design Review. You can then generate DWF or DWFx files of your 3D models with nearly the same visual fidelity as your original DWG files. You can create a single or multi-sheet DWF or DWFx file with 2D and 3D model space objects.
I just downloaded the trail version of Acrobat X pro. I Import (or create new from file) and choose my 3D model. [my 3D model is a .DWF format which can be used interactively using Autodesk Design Review, so you can move/rotate the object around and zoom] however when I choose this file in my PDF it is

I would rather find a driver that would allow me to create the 3D PDF from ACAD 2015 without having to get a 3rd party program, or make the field people install the free viewer.
You can convert a 3D DWF design file to a 3D PDF file by using the Adobe Printer, which is a standard function of the Adobe Acrobat Professional software application. Open the DWF file in the Autodesk Design Review software. Press "Ctrl" and "P" on your keyboard, change the printer to "Adobe PDF," then click on "OK."
30 Mar 2009 Does Autodesk DWF Viewer now provide a way to convert 3D DWF files to 3D PDF files? If it does, I could not find it. My manager stated an AutoCAD competitor's 3D PDF capabilities were impressive. Any views or experiences are appreciated.
I know other programs have this option under plot options but i think AutoCad does not and are rather pushing their DWF viewer. Problem is I cannot expect clients to download DWF viewers just because I'm unable to create a 3D PDF. PDF's being the main format they review data presented. Any other
13 Sep 2011 Yes – it can be done! The program you need is called Adobe Acrobat 3D Version 8. It is very hard to find a download link, as this program has been superseded (by what would seem to be less powerful version/s). Look for a file called Acro3D80_efg.exe. It can be installed as a trial. Trust me, it is worth it.
