8 Nov 2006 There are the standard settings: P (program auto), S (shutter priority), A (aperture priority autoexposure), and M (manual exposure). P: Program mode lets you adjust either the shutter speed (front dial) or aperture (front dial plus “+/-" button), and the camera compensates automatically for any changes.
P is program mode and the camera selects both aperture and shutter speed. You must use the S mode.S is for Shutter Priority, set the shutter speed and the camera selects the Aperture. Shutter speed is changed with the rear wheel. In "P" mode the camera adjust both shutter and aperture.
