Hey guys, I'm struggling quite a bit with understanding the overclocking on the sr-2. The short version is: can someone help me or point me to an article which is good to show me how to get a basic overclock going? I have played around with all sorts of settings but with no great succe
1. "Signal" settings - can adjusting these via the IOH etc affect OC performance? 2. In having the X5690 Xeons the multi is set to 26 - my understanding is that I should leave this as high as possible and use the frequency settings from here to adjust the OC - is this correct? 3. These chips can have a max QPI
Friends, I'll try a different approach. I'm really struggling here. From what I'm reading I'm supposed to be able to change the multiplier, but I don't have the option in the BIOS. In running E-LEET, I can increase the BCLK a bit, and things work. I then begi

I didn't know if things were very different for the Xeons/SR2 vs other 1366 mobos and CPU's, so I figured I'd better check here with you folks. For anyone else that is learning, there is also this link to the Memory Frequency Guide here in the
17 Aug 2012 Hey guys and gals, Currently I have my (2) E5620 Xeons overclocked from 2.4 GHz to 3.2411 GHz. I achieved this by simply using the "dummy overclocking" in the BIOS. I know these processors are capable of more, but I haven't dared touching voltages or anything else. My Rig: Motherboard: EVGA

17 Aug 2010 Besides the QPI, the BIOS can adjust a large number of other frequency settings, but to be honest we didn't find changing any of them helped when overclocking. It doesn't help that none of what these are documented and that EVGA's tech support staff were unwilling to explain them to us, even when
