First report
Moriarty chooses to start her novel in a way that I’ve never seen before with a ‘letter’ to Elizabeth Clarry (the main character) from ‘The Association of Teenagers’, probably something that only exists in Elizabeth’s own head. The way Moriarty writes furthermore the sense of humour in her style of writing as well as the sarcasm really made me wanting to read the whole novel at once. The novel is actually formed like letters, post-it notes, postcards as well as imaginary letters thusly makes the novel more fun and exciting to read inasmuch its not too average to write a novel in that way.
I don’t know what the title says to me when I see it but it somewhat makes sense when you’ve read a bit of the novel but its hard to figure it out at first. I mean ‘Feeling sorry for Celia’ doesn’t say you that much therefore you have to read the novel to savvy the title. The thing that really caught my attention was the front cover, which I think was an interesting choice.
